Radiculopathy

Radiculopathy or sciatica is usually caused by compression of a spinal nerve in the neck or back. This compression is most commonly from a herniated disc or spinal arthritis. Initial treatment can be medications and therapy. Specifically targeted spinal epidural injections can be done in just a few minutes with light sedation at our surgery center and these frequently alleviate pain. When necessary, a minimally invasive surgical treatment can be performed to focus on decompression of the compressed nerve with very high success rates.
